News Release - Flint Street R-Center Meal Distribution Entrance Will Shift to School 19 Effective May 26

(Friday, May 22, 2020) – Effective Tuesday, May 26, residents who utilize the Flint Street R-Center meal distribution site will need to use the entrance of Dr. Charles T. Lunsford School No.19, located at 465 Seward St., to obtain meals. The entrance change is necessary due to construction that is occurring in the area.
Grab-and-go meal distribution hours at this location will remain the same. Meals will be available for pickup between 8 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., Monday - Friday.

RCSD School Sites (open 8 a.m. – 2:30 p.m., Monday – Friday):
• East Upper & Lower School, 1801 E. Main St.
• Dr. Freddy Thomas Campus, 625 Scio St.
• The Former Jefferson High School, 1 Edgerton Pk.
• James Monroe High School, 164 Alexander St.
• John Williams School No. 5, 555 N. Plymouth Ave.
• Wilson Foundation Academy, 200 Genesee St.
• Abelard Reynolds School No. 42, 3330 Lake Ave.

• Helen Barrett Montgomery School No. 50, 301 Seneca Ave.
Meal distribution sites have been in operation throughout the city since mid-March. These locations provide grab-and-go breakfast, lunch and dinner meals to school-aged youth to ensure that children receive adequate nourishment while schools are closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The public should be aware that all meal distribution sites that operate at City R-Centers will be closed on Monday, May 25, in observance of the Memorial Day holiday.
