Evans began the “Council Member on the Corner” series in 2018 as a way to
engage with constituents in their neighborhoods. The events have allowed
Council Member Malik Evans to meet with residents in neighborhoods and homes
around the City of Rochester. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic these
events will need be held virtually,
until it is safe to gather in groups again.
“I look forward to engaging with these
knowledgeable practitioners on the importance of mental health,” said City
Council Member Malik Evans, “talking about mental health is important,
especially during these turbulent times where people can be experiencing
increased anxiety and isolation. We need to bring this conversation to the
forefront and be able to connect people with resources.”
