Description: | In 2017 and 2019, the Lake Ontario and the St. Lawrence River System experienced high-water levels that resulted in severe flooding and erosion throughout the region. The shoreline, building and drainage infrastructure is highly susceptible to rapid and dramatic changes in water levels. The project will implement flood protection measures to address long-term sustainability and resilience to: ensure human health and safety; minimize damage to public / private property; maintain functionality of shoreline security, continued fishing and boating access; and, maintain public access to the area. |
