The City’s Draft Response to Governor Cuomo’s Executive Order 203 and Online Feedback Tool are Available at cityofrochester.gov/executiveorder203

(Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2021) – Mayor Lovely A. Warren will be joined by Interim Police Chief Cynthia Herriott-Sullivan and City Council Vice President Willie J. Lightfoot to host a Telephone Town Hall regarding police reform, including the City’s draft response to Governor Cuomo’s Executive Order 203, at 6 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 28. Interested residents can sign up to participate at cityofrochester.gov/executiveorder203, as well as view the draft recommendations and provide feedback regarding the proposals.

“We are dedicated to doing the work necessary to reinvent policing and eliminate the inequities in the system,” said Mayor Warren. “I am committed to focusing my energy on creating the change our community so desperately seeks, and I ask residents to join with me by participating in this important process.”

Mayor Warren and other members of the City’s Executive Order 203 working group have been conducting public outreach to gain feedback on the draft recommendations to reinvent and reform policing. The working group’s final recommendations will be provided to City Council for their review and consideration on March 4.
