News Release - City to Conduct Virtual Town Hall Meeting for Restaurant Owners

 City of Rochester

News Release

(Monday, May 10, 2021) – Mayor Lovely A. Warren today announced that the City’s Jumpstarting ROC pandemic recovery team will conduct a virtual town hall webinar for city restaurant owners and managers at 2 p.m., Monday, May 17 on the Zoom platform.

“Rochester’s wonderfully diverse array of restaurants is one of our greatest assets, both culturally and economically,” said Mayor Warren. “They’ve endured hardships throughout the pandemic and we want to assure our restaurant owners and workers that we are here for them and are doing whatever we can to help them succeed as we come out of this difficult period. This is a great example of the collaborative creative problem solving that will help us meet the objectives of the Equity and Recovery Agenda and continue our mission to create more jobs, safer and more vibrant neighborhoods and better educational opportunities.”

During the webinar, the Mayor and City staff will provide up-to-date, industry-specific information on City programs and services and take questions from participants on the City’s pandemic recovery efforts. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and provide input on how the City can further support them.

The Mayor will be joined by staff who are administering the City’s restaurant assistance programs and services from the offices of Planning, Zoning, Engineering and Business Development.

Interested restaurant owners and managers can participate in the May 17 Zoom town hall webinar by visiting www.cityofrochester.gov/RestaurantTownHall, where they can also take a brief online survey to provide input and ask questions in advance.
