(Monday, June 28, 2021) — The City Department of Recreation and Human Services is seeking Lifeguards to work at City pools and Durand Eastman Beach in the summer months. Requirements include current lifeguard skills certifications, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED and Standard First Aid. The City will provide the training for these certifications. Hours vary by assignments.

City lifeguards are paid between $12 and $16.93 per hour depending on experience and are scheduled for 35-40 hours weekly. This seasonal positions at city pools run until Aug. 27. Those at Durand Eastman Beach will work through Labor Day, Sept. 6.

Anyone over 16 is eligible to apply. College students and adults are highly encouraged to apply. Applications will be accepted until all positions are filled.
