(Thursday, August 19, 2021) – Mayor Lovely A. Warren announced today that the City issued two Requests For Proposals (RFPs) seeking consultants to provide direct wrap-around support and assistance to crime victims and their families and to create and implement a community engagement plan for the City’s new Office of Neighborhood Safety.

The first RFP seeks a consultant to provide referrals to in-house counseling, relocation assistance, safety planning, as well as attend court appearances and other assistance requested by the victims. The second RFP is seeking the services of a Consultant(s) to create and implement a community engagement plan for the Office of Neighborhood Safety (ONS) to include community organizations, churches, senior housing complexes and other Rochester residents.

The ONS is a unit in the City’s Department of Recreation and Human Services with a mission to coordinate community violence reduction strategies to provide safer and more vibrant neighborhoods in the City of Rochester.
