News Release - Lighting of the Liberty Pole & Family Parade to ROC Holiday Village to Take Place Saturday

(Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2021) – The annual Lighting of the Downtown Liberty Pole and family parade to the ROC Holiday Village at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Park will take place at 5 p.m. on Saturday, December 4. Join Santa and Mrs. Claus, City Councilmembers, the Prime Time Brass band and other holiday costumed characters as they light the Liberty Pole at the corner of E. Main Street and Franklin Street.

After the Liberty Pole is lit, families will join in a festive street parade that will proceed to the ROC Holiday Village at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Park, where families can enjoy visits with Santa; free ice skating and free skate rentals sponsored by Wegmans (quantities limited, guests are encouraged to bring their own); local artisans selling unique gifts; food and drink; a rotating, pop-up restaurant and bar; multiple photo opportunities and free kids crafts.

Free parking is available at the Mortimer Street Garage, 25 N. Clinton Ave. and at the nearby Washington Square Garage and East End Garage for $7.
