News Release

(Sunday, Jan. 16, 2022)—Dr. King said, “An individual has not started living until he can rise above the narrow confines of his individualistic concerns to the broader concerns of all humanity.”

As we celebrate the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., I am reminded that it will take the collective work of everyone in the community to address our most pressing challenges. The COVID-19 pandemic, violence, and poverty are just a few of those broader concerns.

I believe that one of the best ways to honor Dr. King is to be in service to others. We all have a part to play in bringing about positive change. Today let us commit to being a part of the solution.
