Description:

City and County leaders participate in the 39th annual Arbor Day tree-planting ceremony.

In celebration of Frederick Law Olmsted's 200th birthday, a WHITE OAK (Quercus alba) and
a SUGAR MAPLE (Acer saccharum) will be planted. Olmsted was the Landscape Architect of various parks in the region, including Genesee Valley Park.

In partnership with The City of Rochester, Monroe County, Cornell Cooperative Extension
of Monroe County, Monroe County 4-H, Horticultural Associates, Meadowview Nursery,
PLANT GFLX, and the New York State Chapter of the International Society of Arboriculture.

Genesee Valley Park west side, near tennis courts and ball fields.
