Description:

A Joint Public Hearing will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at 5:30 p.m. by the City Council and the Board of Education so that constituents may offer comments regarding the proposed 2022-23 budgets for both the City and the Rochester City School District. 

The public is invited to participate in-person at City Hall. The hearing will be held in the Council Chambers, Room 302-A. 

Participants may sign up ahead of time by calling 585-428-7538 or 585-428-7421, or by emailing council@cityofrochester.gov.  Pre-registration is not required in order to speak at the meeting.  Walk-ins will be allowed to speak following those constituents who have signed up in advance.  

Residents who cannot participate in person are encouraged to send their comments to the Council via fax (585-428-6347), email (council@cityofrochester.gov) , or mail (Attn: City Council or RCSD Budget Comments, City Hall – Room 301A, 30 Church Street, Rochester, NY 14614).

Location:

The Joint Public Hearing will be held in-person in the City Council Chambers at City Hall, 30 Church Street, Room 302A, beginning at 5:30 p.m. 

In addition, the hearings may be watched via livestream on the Council's Facebook Page and YouTube Page, as well as on City 12, the City's government access channel that is available to Spectrum Cable subscribers – Channel 1303.

Cost:

There is no cost to attend.  The meetings are free and open to the public.

Parking:

Parking is available on a limited basis in the City Hall parking lot after 5:30 p.m. Parking is also  available in area on-street parking lots and in the Sister Cities Garage, corner of Church and Fitzhugh streets.  Limited on-street parking is also available.
