Concert Marks One of Twiddle’s Final Performances Before “Indefinite Hiatus” in 2024
(Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2023) – This week's Party in the Park concert series with headliner Twiddle and opening band, The Peter Griffith Group, will take place at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 10, at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Park at Manhattan Square, 353 Court St. Downtown. Gates open at 6 p.m. and performances will begin at 6:30 p.m.
Twiddle, known for their dynamic blend of rock, reggae, and funk, has a loyal and growing fan base. Their energetic performances have captivated audiences and the band’s ability to seamlessly blend genres will make for an exhilarating experience for all. The band has announced that they will be taking an indefinite hiatus at the end of this year.
Pete Griffith will bring his gut, grit, and heart and soul this Thursday night. His voice is arguably more powerful than the sound of his drums. The Pete Griffith Group will deliver an intoxicating fusion of blues, soul, and rock ‘n’ roll. They promise to bring a high-energy performance that will have the crowd dancing.
The final show of the 2023 Party in the Park season will take place on Aug. 17 featuring Lettuce and Joe Samba.
General admission for Party in the Park is $7 (children 12 and under are free). VIP Ultra Lounge tickets are $32, which includes admission, in advance (while supplies last). Tickets can be purchased at the gate, online at RochesterEvents.com or in-person at the Auditorium Theater, 885 E. Main St. All headlining acts are ASL interpreted.
In addition to live music, Party in the Park features a VIP Ultra Lounge, a Craft Beer Garden, the Wine Time Bar and Bazaar in the Park. The VIP Ultra Lounge provides exclusive access to a VIP Ultra Lounge with private restrooms, a full cash bar, table service, front stage access, chair massage, and a commemorative lanyard.
Craft beer lovers can enjoy a rotating showcase of New York State’s best IPAs, ciders, stouts, and more. The Wine Time Bar will feature select wines from Bully Hill Vineyards, prosecco, wine slushies and wine spritzers with happy hour specials from 6–7:30 p.m.
Bazaar in the Park is a weekly collective of emerging designers, vintage collectors, and artisanal products, creating a community around art, crafts, fashion, and discovery. New vendors will arrive every other week, making Bazaar at the Park a place to discover new, emerging talent and creativity.
Patrons may bring one sealed bottle of water into the Party in the Park concerts. Lawn chairs, bicycles, skateboards, in-line skates, and pets are prohibited. In addition, a strict no-smoking policy will be enforced. Smokers must go to a designated area.
Parking is available at nearby parking garages including the Washington Square Garage, 111 Woodbury Blvd., the Court Street Garage, 194 Court St., the East End Garage, 475 E. Main St., as well as at The Strong Museum, 1 Manhattan Square.
