(Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2023) – The City of Rochester’s
Hispanic Heritage Committee invites the community to rock to the rhythm at
Roc’n Ritmo, 5 to 11 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 9 at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Park, 353 Court St.
Concert go-ers will enjoy a dynamic musical lineup that
features host Franco “El Matatan” and headliners Carlos Garcia and Divino.
Salsa musician Carlos Garcia may be a relatively new name in the genre, but his
lifelong exposure to music has led him to work with Victor Manuelle, Charlie
Aponte, and many others. Since 2020, Carlos has released several salsa tunes,
including Te Pasa Algo, Yo la Queria para Mi, and No me culpes.
Divino is well-known across the reggaeton genre with a
20-year career that features hit collaborations with Esta Noche De Travesura
and Mac (with Malito Malozo and Bayriton). This time, he comes to Roc’n Ritmo
as part of his upcoming Pobre Corazon World Tour.
In addition to live music, Roc’n Ritmo will feature food,
beer, and wine for purchase. General admission is $7 and free for kids ages 12
and under. VIP tickets are $50 and include a beverage, access to a VIP area
with private bathrooms.
