(Tuesday, May 21, 2024) – The following May events will impact Downtown traffic:


Thursday, May 23 – J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge:


The annual J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge will take place this Thursday causing temporary street closings. The event begins at 7 p.m. at Innovative Field.

Beginning at 4 p.m., the following streets will be closed:
  • Morrie Silver Way from Oak Street to State Street

  • N. Plymouth Avenue from Allen Street to Brown Street
At 6:30 p.m., the following streets will be closed:
  • Plymouth Avenue from Allen Street to Exchange Boulevard

  • Exchange Boulevard from Plymouth Avenue to Ford Street

  • Ford Street from Exchange Boulevard to Mt. Hope Avenue

  • Mt. Hope Avenue from Ford Street to Byron Street

  • South Avenue from Byron Street to Main Street

  • Main Street from South Avenue to State Street

  • State Street from Main Street to Platt Street

  • Mill Street from Commercial Street to Platt Street

  • Platt Street from Mill Street to State Street

Monday, May 27 – Rochester Memorial Day Parade:

Rochester’s Memorial Day Parade will step off at 10:30 a.m. on Monday at the intersection of East Avenue and Alexander Street, proceed westbound on East Avenue to Main Street, then westbound on Main Street to Fitzhugh Street where the parade will disband.

The parade route will be closed to traffic at 10 a.m. and will reopen after the parade is completed, around 1 p.m. Staging streets will be closed to traffic from approximately 8:30 to 11 a.m. with staggered openings as participants enter the parade.

The following streets will be closed for parade staging areas:

  • East Avenue between Alexander Street and Arnold Park

  • Sibley Place at East Avenue

  • Meigs Street between Park Avenue and East Avenue

  • Arnold Park from East Avenue to Park Avenue

  • Strathallan Park from East Avenue to University Avenue

  • Prince Street between East Avenue and College Avenue
