The Arts, Music and Recreation Division of the Central Library houses a number of special collections and formats:
Arts - Fine and Performing Arts -- Drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, music and dance
Design -- Costumes and fashion, architecture, house plants, landscaping and home decorating
- Framed Prints -- May be borrowed for an eight-week loan period
- Graphic Novels - For teens and adults
- Antiques and Collectibles -- Price guides and advice for collectors. Use this guide to research antiques and collectibles.
We also have a subscription to Invaluable.com - a website listing auction prices for fine and decorative arts as well as collectibles.
- Coins, Paper Money and Stamps -- Illustrated catalogs with values
- Crafts -- Calligraphy, knitting, quilting, needlework, scrapbooking and many more
Music
- Sheet Music -- Classical and popular, including Broadway shows
- Popular Song Index
- Books -- Composers, performers, musical genres and musical instruments
- Music instruction books, many of which contain CDs
Music recordings formerly housed in Arts, Music and Recreation have been moved to the Reynolds Media Center, located on the first floor of the Bausch & Lomb Public Library Building.
