The City of Rochester is proud to announce the annual Rochester Regional Health Flower City Challenge produced by YellowJacket Racing.  Rochester Regional Health has teamed up with sponsors Fleet Feet Sports, the City of Rochester, SMP, Wegmans, and many others to make the Rochester Flower City Challenge possible.  This awesome event is designed to accommodate practiced runners, casual joggers and everyone in between to ensure a day dedicated to outdoor fun.

A Unique Route to Take in the Beauty of Rochester

Participants in the half-marathon and 5k events will wind through historic downtown streets and neighborhoods, passing by famous landmarks like the Susan B. Anthony House. The race winds through Downtown, East Avenue, Park Avenue, Highland Park, Mount Hope Cemetery, the Genesee Riverway Trail, and much more!

Looking for the Duathlon/Paddle Triathlon?

The Rochester River Challenge Duathlon/Paddle Triathlon has been moved to Sunday, May 26th same place and time as before - Genesee Waterways Center starting at 7:30AM.

This decision was made due to the unpredictability of the water and temperatures provided in April.  By moving to Memorial Day Weekend we suspect the water and temperatures will be more cooperative.

Registration is Open! Check out the race website here

Fun for Everyone

Everything’s more fun when you do it with a friend! Bring a buddy to compete with you. The Half Marathon Relay offers the opportunity to compete as a relay team with as maximum of two members per team.

Train Like a Champion

Fleet Feet Sports is offering training programs to help get ready for the Rochester Flower City Challenge. Fitness programs designed to prepare you for race day will help ensure you can perform at your best.

Be Victorious

There are awards available for all of the events. Overall top finishers, as well as top age group finishers, will receive awards.

Adopt a Mile!

Adopt a Mile is a program that lets organizations earn money and public recognition and marketing simply by soliciting, organizing, and  coordinating the volunteers for a particular “mile” of the Rochester Regional Health Flower City Half Marathon & 5K course. It's a unique opportunity to market your organization to the thousands that run the races!
