Genesee Riverway Trail - Brooks Landing

The Genesee Riverway Trail is an off-road trail for walking, running and bicycling along the Genesee River. It extends through the scenic, historic and cultural heart of Rochester, from the Erie Canal to downtown and Lake Ontario.  It provides pedestrian access to the Genesee River, its scenic gorge, three waterfalls, eight pedestrian bridges and eleven parks, including four historic parks designed by Frederick Law Olmsted.

Brooks Landing

Brooks Landing offers boat docking on the Genesee River and a pedestrian bridge to the University of Rochester.  To the north, the trail extends along the western bank of the Genesee River through the Plymouth - Exchange (PLEX) neighborhood.  To the south, the trail runs through Genesee Valley Park, a historic Fredrick Law Olmsted park.  Brooks Landing is also the place where the Genesee River, Erie Canal, Genesee Riverway Trail, Erie Canal Heritage Trail and Genesee Valley Greenway Trail all meet!  Amenities include restrooms, picnic areas, play fields, tennis, golf, outdoor swimming pool, indoor ice skating, canoeing and rowing.

Both on- and off-street parking is available in the area.
