(Friday, Dec. 6, 2013) -- Mayor Thomas S. Richards announced today that selections of photography projects of the Asian Pacific Islanders American Association of Greater Rochester (APAA) will be on display in the City Hall Link Gallery from Dec. 10 through Jan. 27, 2014.

The exhibit, “See Us Now … Greater Rochester’s Asian-American Community,” highlights APAA’s photography projects over the last decade. These include:

• The 2013 APAAROC P.I.E. (Pioneers, Innovators, Entrepreneurs) exhibit, which integrates photography and technology to tell the life stories of Asian Pacific Americans who have made significant contributions to their communities;
• The “Daily Lives of Asian Pacific Americans in Greater Rochester,” a photography project that involved 17 volunteer photographers and renowned New York City-based photo journalist Corky Lee;
• And “Identity Through Art,” a documentary about six prominent artists based in Rochester.

The projects were supported through the volunteer efforts of the APAA and the Arts and Cultural Council for Greater Rochester.

The City Hall Link Gallery is located at 30 Church St. and is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
