About the Project

This federal and state multi-modal aided project is being administered by the City of Rochester under agreement with the NYSDOT, NYSDOT PIN 4760.45. This project consists of street improvements to five City streets.

  • Browncroft Boulevard (Newcastle Road - Penfield Town Line)
  • Merchants Road (Browncroft Boulevard - Culver Road)
  • Central Park (Portland Avenue - North Goodman Street)
  • Cleveland Street (Hudson Avenue - North Street)
  • Draper Street (North Street - Portland Avenue) 

The scope of the work consists of milling and resurfacing four city streets, including repair of the existing pavement base, resurfacing of adjacent driveway aprons to meet the new street grades, adjustment of water valve and sewer castings, resetting or installing new granite curbs as needed, replacement of hazardous sidewalks, installation of truncated domes at the handicap ramps, installation of pavement markings and replacement of traffic loops.
