Charlotte Street and Haags Alley Improvement Project

About the Project

The Charlotte Street and Haags Alley Project were reconstructed both Charlotte Street from Scio Street to Pitkin Street and Haags Alley from East Main Street to Pitkin Street.

the city added curbed bumpouts at pedestrian crossing locations and at the locations of driveways leading to the ground floor parking at Charlotte Square development. Charlotte Street will get a new water main, granite curbs, concrete sidewalks, street drainage upgrades and hydrants.  A new street lighting system was installed, and street trees will be planted on both sides of the street.

Haags Alley will be reconstructed using a concrete pavement. It is proposed to have it remain one way westbound.  It will also get new granite curbing, street drainage and a new street lighting system.

This project will tie into he adjacent South Union Street / Inner Loop East Project which reconnected Charlotte St between Pitkin St and S Union across the former Inner Loop site.
