(Monday, July 25, 2016) – City of Rochester Neighborhood and Business Development Deputy Commissioner Kate Washington, City Councilwoman Elaine Spaull and New York State Senator Joe Robach joined business owner Agathi Georgiou for a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the grand opening of The Arbor Lofts located at 17 Pitkin Street.

The Arbor Lofts is a new event space. It is located on the second floor of Hart’s Grocers in what used to be a car repair shop. The chic new venue can accommodate a wide variety of events, including intimate get-togethers, weddings, corporate events, and private parties.

“Agathi has done a wonderful job revitalizing this beautiful building and bringing added value to the East End,” said Deputy Commissioner Washington. “I want to thank her for making this investment in the city. Her new business helps us accomplish Mayor Warren’s goal of bringing more jobs, safer and more vibrant neighborhoods and better educational opportunities to the citizens of Rochester.”

The Arbor Lofts is a woman-owned event space and currently employs five. It is handicapped accessible and there is ample parking in the garage across the street. Ms. Georgiou also owns Agathi and Co.
