Motorist Advisory - Carifest Parade to Affect Downtown Traffic on Saturday

(Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2017) – Several Downtown streets will be closed for the Rochester Carifest Parade on Saturday, Aug. 12. The Parade has a new route this year: it will step off at 11 a.m. at the corner of West Main Street and Plymouth Avenue, head east on Main Street to East Avenue, east on East Avenue to Chestnut Street, and south on Chestnut Street to disband at Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Park (the site of Carifest).

Main Street from Plymouth Avenue to East Avenue, and East Avenue from Main Street to Chestnut Street will be closed from 10:30 a.m. to approximately 2 p.m.

The following streets will be temporarily closed:
• Main Street (from Plymouth Avenue to Chestnut Street);
• St. Paul Street (from Bragdon Place to Main Street);
• Clinton Avenue (from Division Street to Main Street);
• East Avenue (from Main Street to Chestnut Street);
• Chestnut Street (from Main Street to Woodbury Boulevard).
