 2020 SW NSC Quad Team Meetings

Our Quadrant Team meets regularly with representatives from all of our neighborhoods.  Please contact the office for more information about how you can get involved.   

All Quad Team meetings are the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 9:30 a.m. at the Southwest NSC  office.

Business Permits 

The Business Permit process starts with completing the new Business Permit form and paying the $25.00 Business Permit fee at 30 Church St,       Rochester, NY in the Permits Office.   Inform the staff at the Permit Office you want to open a business at your business address.   The Permit office will validate your business "use" is approved at your building location.  Next, bring the approved Business Permit form, your receipt, copies all business licenses, copies of owner's and all manager's state or government ID's or licenses to your business's local Neighborhood Service Center to complete the new Business Permit process.   

  If your business has a signed and approved Entertainment or Amusement License from the Rochester Police Department NO Business Permit is required.   If any of these licenses are "pending," a Business Permit is REQUIRED before opening your business.

  All Fire Department, building permits, and Code Enforcement building inspections must be completed at your site. before a business permit can be issued.

*NEW City of Rochester Handicapped Permit process during local Health Emergency:  

ALL NEW AND RENEWAL PERMITS ARE PROCESSED AT LOCAL NSC OFFICES VIA OUTSIDE DROP BOXES: 


NEW Handicapped Permits Process

  1.  You need a signed New York State DMV-664.1 Handicappd Form (SIGNED BY YOUR DOCTOR)   
  2. Please make sure your completed NY State Handicapped Form  is signed by YOUR DOCTOR and YOU, and has your phone number. 
    • Copy of NYS Driver’s License OR NY State ID of Applicant REQUIRED 
    • Alternate Proof of Address is REQUIRED,  if address is different than on the NYS license/ID. 
    • Take a photo/scan of driver’s license or NY State ID and send it to southwestoffice@cityofrochester.gov
     
  3. Deliver hardcopy of NYS Handicapped Form to outside NSC Drop Box  
  4. CONFIRM NSC staff's receipt of all required documents:  
    • Call or Email local NSC office to report your drop off to outside  NSC Drop Box    
     
  5. Delays in processing may occur if you fail to contact NSC staff at time of drop off. 


RENEWAL Handicapped Permits Process

    ALL RENEWAL PERMITS ARE PROCESSED AT LOCAL NSC OFFICES VIA OUTSIDE DROP BOXES:

  1.   You have to give back/return the old handicapped permit for the handicapped permit RENEWAL process. 
    • Deliver original hard copy handicapped sticker/permit to outside NSC Drop Box  
     
  2.   Take a photo of the driver’s license and send it to southwestoffice@cityofrochester.gov 
    • Driver’s License or NY State ID REQUIRED
    •  Proof of CURRENT Address is REQUIRED, if address is different than on the license/ID. 
    • Take a photo/scan of driver’s license or NY State ID and send it to southwestoffice@cityofrochester.gov
     
  3. CONFIRM NSC staff's receipt of all required documents: Call or Email local NSC office to report Delivery to outside  NSC Drop Box    
  4. Delays in processing may occur if you fail to contact NSC staff at time of drop off.
