 2020 SW NSC Quad Team Meetings

Our Quadrant Team meets regularly with representatives from all of our neighborhoods.  Please contact the office for more information about how you can get involved.   

All Quad Team meetings are the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 9:30 a.m. at the Southwest NSC  office.

*NEW City of Rochester Business Permit process during local Health Emergency:  

New Business Permit Application Processing

 

Deliver your initialized and completed hard copy application along with a check or money order fee payment  (non-refundable $25.00 application fee, payable to the "Rochester City Treasure")off to the  CITY HALL, LINK ENTRANCE, 30 Church St., NBD/PERMIT OFFICE DROP BOX.  Your Business Permit application will be reviewed for legal use compliance under the Zoning Code and the New York State Building Code.  If your proposed use is in compliance with these codes, your application will be forwarded to your local NSC Office for final review and completion.  For more details consult the new Business Permit process.   

After obtaining New York State Building Code and Rochester Zoning Code approval and paying the non-refundable $25.00 application fee, YOUR local NSC Office will next contact you by phone or email to provide the additionally required documents listed below AND schedule a Good Neighbor Agreement teleconference.  Lastly, your new Business Permit will be mailed to you via the U.S. mail system.

You will need government Photo identification (NYS Driver's / Non-driver's License or United States Passport) of all persons listed on your application is required. FAILURE TO INCLUDE COPIES OF REQUIRED DOCUMENTS WILL DELAY PROCESSING.  For more details consult the new Business Permit process.   

  If your business has a signed and approved Entertainment or Amusement License from the Rochester Police Department NO Business Permit is required.   If any of these licenses are "pending," a Business Permit is REQUIRED before opening your business.

  All Fire Department, building permits, and Code Enforcement building inspections must be completed at your site. before a business permit can be issued.  Allow two weeks for this "extended" process before receiving your new or renewal Business Permit.

Renewal Business Permit  Form Processing

 Business Permit Renewal form and Good Neighbor Agreement form will be mailed to you prior to your Business Permit expiration date.   You must review, update, sign, and return the signed Renewal Application Forms by U.S. Mail or deliver them to CITY HALL, LINK ENTRANCE, 30 Church St., NBD/PERMIT OFFICE DROP BOX. .   Renewal Application forms received  before 30 days before your Business Permit expiration date are FREE.   Renewal Business Permits Certificates will be returned via U.S. Mail.

NEW Handicapped Permits Process

  1.  You need a signed New York State DMV-664.1 Handicappd Form (SIGNED BY YOUR DOCTOR)   
  2. Please make sure your completed NY State Handicapped Form  is signed by YOUR DOCTOR and YOU, and has your phone number. 
    • Copy of NYS Driver’s License OR NY State ID of Applicant REQUIRED 
    • Alternate Proof of Address is REQUIRED,  if address is different than on the NYS license/ID. 
    • Take a photo/scan of driver’s license or NY State ID and send it to southwestoffice@cityofrochester.gov
     
  3. Deliver your completed NYS Handicap Application to the Linkage Entrance at City Hall, 30 Church Street, 
  4. Drop documents in the NBD/Permit Office drop box. 
  5. CONFIRM NSC staff's receipt of all required documents!
  6.  Call or Email local NSC office to report your drop off to the NBD/Permit Office Drop Box     
  7. Delays in processing may occur if you fail to contact NSC staff at time of drop off. 


RENEWAL Handicapped Permits Process

    ALL RENEWAL PERMITS ARE PROCESSED AT LOCAL NSC OFFICES VIA OUTSIDE DROP BOXES:

  1.   You have to give back/return the old handicapped permit for the handicapped permit RENEWAL process. 
    • Deliver your completed NYS Handicap Application to the Linkage Entrance at City Hall, 30 Church Street.
    • Drop documents in the NBD/Permit Office drop box. 
     
  2.   Take a photo of the driver’s license and send it to southwestoffice@cityofrochester.gov 
    • Driver’s License or NY State ID REQUIRED
    •  Proof of CURRENT Address is REQUIRED, if address is different than on the license/ID. 
    • Take a photo/scan of driver’s license or NY State ID and send it to southwestoffice@cityofrochester.gov
     
  3. CONFIRM NSC staff's receipt of all required documents!
  4. Call or Email local NSC office to report Delivery to the NBD/Permit Office drop box.  
  5. Delays in processing may occur if you fail to contact NSC staff at time of drop off.
