(May 27, 2021) - Neighborhood and Business Development Commissioner Gary Kirkmire and team discuss the City's goals for new HUD funding under the City's 2021-22 Annual Action Plan. Read the plan here.  
(April 1, 2021) - Officials from the City Department of Human Resource Management and the Rochester Educational Opportunity Center (REOC) discussed job opportunities with the City of Rochester, the City’s Civil Service process and the "SUNY for All" partnership between the City and the REOC.  

(March 25, 2021) - Officials from the City Department of Neighborhood and Business Development and the Monroe County Department of Human Services discussed the City-County eviction prevention program. City NBD Commissioner Gary Kirkmire and Monroe County DHS Commissioner Thalia Wright presented information on the Eviction Prevention Pilot Initiative which provides qualified tenants with rent relief.

 
(March 5, 2021) -  Officials from the Department of Neighborhood and Business Development discussed Rochester’s Annual Action Plan, which addresses housing, homeownership, homelessness, public infrastructure and other initiatives the City carries out with its funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

(Feb. 25, 2021) - The City’s Department of Recreation and Human Services (DRHS), in conjunction with its partner agencies at the Greater Rochester Parent Leadership Training Institute (PLTI) and the SUNY Brockport Institute for Poverty Studies and Economic Development discussed the intersectionality of Rochester’s criminal justice and community healthcare systems with regard to responding to mental health crises.  
(December 17, 2020) - City Library Director Patricia Uttaro and key Department staff members discuss the current state of the City’s libraries, digital services, remote learning resources, services for small businesses, job seekers and more.  
(November 12, 2020) - Rochester Police Department Chief Cynthia Herriott-Sullivan and key staff members of the Rochester Police Department conducted a Virtual Community Update to introduce the Chief’s Command Staff, discuss the Chief’s 90-day Plan as well as provide a crime overview.

Oct. 22, 2020 - City Neighborhood and Business Development Commissioner Gary Kirkmire and staff discuss the City’s use of $12.3 million in CARES Act funding for COVID-19 relief for city residents and businesses and the City’s new suite of programs to help city renters and landlords as well as the City’s property rehabilitation grant programs. Oct. 15, 2020 - Commissioner Dr. Daniele Lyman-Torres kicked off the series with a presentation on the City’s new Crisis Intervention Services Office. The new office will serve as the City’s 24-hour, non-law enforcement response to homicides, mental health and domestic violence incidents, as well as other traumatic events. the office will be led by Alia Henton-Williams, who will serve as the new coordinator. Henton-Williams brings extensive professional experience and a deeply relevant personal history to this critical new role.
