RFP – Workforce Development Program Support Services – Brownfields Environmental Skills Training (BEST) Program

Introduction

The City of Rochester is seeking proposals from qualified Consultants to provide program support to the City of Rochester BEST Program. The goal of the BEST Program is to train a total of 100 students over four (4) years for placement in the environmental construction fields. This program is being funded through a Brownfields Job Training Grant (BJT) grant from the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to the City.

The BEST Program is a comprehensive, multi-partner effort designed to lead to sustainable, long-term environmental employment and to make sure affected residents share in the economic benefits derived from Brownfields redevelopment. The BEST Program will specifically target dislocated workers; severely underemployed individuals; and unemployed individuals including low-income and minority residents, veterans, and those with little or no advanced education.

This RFP is for a component of the BEST Program.
