Night Markets and Bands on the Bricks 2010

Thanks for a successful inaugural year of Night Markets, and for another fantastic summer of Bands on the Bricks. Check this page in Spring for the 2011 summer lineup.

Friday summer nights will be both hot and cool at the Rochester Public Market in 2010! A popular Rochester Public Market tradition will Band on the Bricks at the Public Market.be enhanced this summer with the offering of nine Night Markets (July 9-August 27) to complement its Friday night Bands on the Bricks Series. 

The Night Markets will feature an eclectic mix of your favorite regular and new vendors, a wide variety of prepared foods, and a beer/wine garden. The annual Bands on the Bricks Series will complement the Night Market’s festive atmosphere with the addition of regional and national headliners such as Pandora Boxx and the Marshall Tucker Band!

All Night Markets begin at 5 p.m. and run with Bands on the Bricks until 10 p.m.

The Bands on the Bricks music schedule is as follows:

July 9        Pandora and Friends Go Public, Full Tilt! This Gay Pride Week 2010 kick-off featuring performers from Rue Paul’s Drag Race, as seen on VH1. Features three performance shows throughout the evening, 30,000-watt digital sound system, and DJ John Herbert,voted Rochester’s #1 DJ by CITY Newspaper. Underage surcharge may apply. 

July 16      The legendary Marshall Tucker Band, and Kid Kurry Band (music starts at 7)

July 23      Max Creek, Opener TBA

July 30      The Sound Remains The Same plays Led Zeppelin with special guest Heroes For Ghosts (a Pink Floyd Tribute)

August 6   Donna The Buffalo, The Lawnmowers, Ry Cuming

August 13    Reggae/Latin Night

August 20     Blues Night with the Coupe De Villes

August 27     The Druids

Food and other vendors are sought for the Night Markets—contact the Public Market Office at (585) 428-6907 if interested.
