Citywide Programs and Leagues

Citywide offerings include both organized programs and leagues for youth and adults.

Basketball For more information about basketball opportunities for youth and adults, call  Don Corey at 428-7592. For more information about the City-Wide Youth Basketball League, visit www.cityofrochester.gov/cwbbl. Hockey at Genesee Valley Park rink(2) 

NFL Flag Football (Youth only). The City hosts flag football each fall. Stay tuned for more information, or call Don Corey at 428-7592.

Ice and Floor Hockey Ice Hockey is played at the Genesee Valley Park Indoor Ice Arena; Floor Hockey is played at select R-Centers in the winter. For more information about Ice Hockey, call 428-7888 or visit Genesee Valley Park Sports Complex. For more information about Floor Hockey, contact your preferred R-Center to learn if that Center is fielding a team.

 Girls ROC Athletics (Youth only). Girl ages 8 - 14 Athletics program featuring Soccer, Volleyball, Basketball, and Softball. Available at Flint St. and Frederick Douglass R-Centers. For more information call: 428 - 6015.

 Youth Punt, Pass, and Kick Competition. Each fall, youth ages 6-15 are invited to participate  in a local competition. For more information, call 428-7592. 

Summer Swim Academy. The Summer Swim Academy offers free swim lessons for kids ages 6-18, at six different skill levels--from beginner to advanced. For more information or to register in May, www.cityofrochester.gov/swimlessons
 
Tennis Lessons (Adult only).  Outdoor tennis lessons are offered in season in Rochester’s fabulous parks. For more information, visit www.cityofrochester.gov/tennislessons.

Youth Tennis Lessons
The City of Rochester hosts the Maplewood YMCA’s Love 15 Summer Tennis Camp, where youth ages 8-16 learn tennis fundamentals. For more information, call Chuck Hazlett 277-1654, or visit Maplewood Family YMCA.org.
