Urban League of Rochester, Monroe County, City of Rochester and Rochester City School District to Host Livestreamed Annual RASE Commission Community Update

ROCHESTER, NY — This month marks the third anniversary of the release of the historic Commission on Racial and Structural Equity (RASE) report. The RASE report was developed by more than 200 dedicated community volunteers to provide recommendations designed to increase equity across nine sectors where racial and structural barriers have produced disparities.

In recognition of this milestone, a virtual communitywide update is planned for 5 p.m. tonight, Wednesday, March 20. Community members interested can view the livestream on the Central Library of Rochester & Monroe County YouTube channel at: https://www.youtube.com/c/rochesterpubliclibraryny

This update will include presentations from Monroe County, the City of Rochester and community members comprising the eight Community Advancing Recommendations Teams (CARTs). These presentations will highlight the advancements on RASE recommendations from 2023 and the future work of the Urban League. In 2022, the Urban League of Rochester was selected to lead the communitywide implementation of RASE recommendations.
