A city of Rochester native, Jackie is a graduate of Wilson Magnet High School and has a degree in Business Management and Marketing from Cornell University.

A small business owner, with an office on Alexander St, Jackie provides Insurance and Financial services through State Farm.  As a four year agent, she conducts first time home buyer seminars with Pathstone and MarketView Heights and seminars focused on budgeting and savings with ABC Headstart.

Assisting the needs of the Rochester community is extremely important to Jackie and with the support of State Farm and City Hall she relocated her business from the suburbs of Greece to the city’s center in January 2009 to be more accessible to a larger community base.  Prior to opening her agency she spent two years with Birds Eye Foods as a Marketing Manager and three years as a Brand Manager with S.C. Johnson in Racine, WI.

Jackie serves on several community boards, including IBERO American Action League, Borinquen Dance Theatre and is the President of the executive planning team for the 2009 Puerto Rican Parade. She is also a mentor and presenter for the Red Cross Youth Leadership Development Program and sponsors an annual scholarship at IBERO’s Annual Scholarship Gala.

Jackie is a sponsor of the Rochester Hispanic Youth Baseball League and participates in the Rochester Works Summer Employment Program providing a high school student with real work experience each year.  She works with the Rochester City School District through its Pencil Partnership Program, is a charter member of Rochester’s first Latino Rotary club and leads IBERO’s new financial literacy program.

As a result of her work through State Farm and the community, she was named Hispanic Business Person of the Year 2009 and recognized at the annual luncheon October 1, 2009.

Jackie was elected in November 2009 to a four-year term on the City Council beginning January 1, 2010.  As an At-Large Councilmember, she serves on the Finance Committee, as well as the Public Safety, Youth & Recreation Committee.
