(Thursday, May 30, 2013) – Mayor Richards welcomes business owners Tracy and Willie Hobbs as they cut a ceremonial ribbon today to open Traditions Take-Out and Catering, located at 651Jefferson Ave. City Neighborhood and Business Development Commissioner R. Carlos Carballada, Council President Lovely Warren, Vice President Dana Miller and Councilmember Carolee Conklin joined the Hobbs today to celebrate the grand opening of the new restaurant.

“Rochester’s strength and growth owes much to the entrepreneurship that small business owners like the Hobbs bring to our neighborhoods,” Commissioner Carballada said. “I thank them for bringing their restaurant to this neighborhood and I look forward to watching it grow and succeed.”

Traditions specializes in comfort foods and Southern hospitality style catering. Menu items include Tennessee Catfish, New Orleans Style Red Beans and Southern Fried Cabbage. The Hobbs opened Traditions because of their love of cooking and catering and hope to leave a legacy for their children and grandchildren.

Traditions Take Out and Catering is open Tuesday through Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
