News Release

(Thursday, June 5, 2014) – The second round of Small Group Stakeholder Workshops and Site Tours for Charlotte residents who are interested in sharing input on the Port Development project are now listed on Edgewater Development’s website at www.waterfrontrochester.com.

An initial round of eight workshops was offered in May. This new series is in response to community requests for more opportunities to meet with the Edgewater team and ask questions.

The project is currently in the community visioning phase, and the City is very interested in hearing citizens’ thoughts and ideas about what makes Charlotte such a special place and how this project can contribute to that “sense of place” by enhancing the year-round vitality of the community and building on Charlotte’s heritage as one of America’s Great Lake resorts.

This round of meetings will include 17 sessions at various times of day, including 11 sessions scheduled in the evening and on Saturday. The number of registrants per session is limited to 15 people assure that everyone can be heard. More than 250 people will be able to be accommodated in this second series. Interested individuals can sign-up on the Edgewater website under the “Workshop Registration” tab.

The community is also encouraged to complete the Visual Preference Survey on the website under the “Visual Survey” tab.
