The City of Rochester is seeking proposals for Mechanical, Electric, Plumbing: Engineering Term Services for various City facilities located within Rochester City limits as well as Hemlock and Rush, New York.
About the Project
The City of Rochester, Department of Environmental Services, is responsible for maintenance, repair, alterations, and remodeling of City buildings and facilities. The City has approximately 175 various types of facilities. MEP Services related to City Facilities will be provided by a Consulting Engineer or Engineering team. Such services may include:
- Conducting reviews or investigations of existing facilities as requested by the City. Reviewing existing drawings, plans, and actual conditions, and advising the City on issues of concern in regard to NYS Code and design, material selection, budget and cost (life-cycle) analysis.
- Performing preliminary design services through various phases; preparing contract documents for contracted maintenance or renovation work and providing inspection of that work during construction.
- Reviewing designs prepared by other consultants under contract to the City for specific construction or reconstruction projects.
The City anticipates that the consultant selected will provide services on a continuing as needed basis. An agreement will be negotiated for a three-year period
Specific services for each project shall be requested from consultant(s) with individual proposal solicitations.
Payment for services is anticipated to be on the basis of an approved hourly rate schedule. The magnitude of services to be provided shall vary, but are limited to an approximate range of $30,000 per project.
