(Thursday, Feb. 14, 2019) – Beginning in March, the City of Rochester R-Centers and the American Red Cross will offer 2019 Certified Lifeguard Training and Lifeguard Re-certification classes at the Adams Street R-Center, 85 Adams St., on the following dates:
- Lifeguard Course Classes: March 5 – May 2; Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6:30 - 9:30 p.m. (No classes on April 14 and April 16 due to School Recess)
- Week Long Accelerated Lifeguard Course: May 6 – May 11; Monday-Friday, 5:30 – 9:30 p.m., Saturday, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
- Recertification Classes:
- May 14 – 16; Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday, 6:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.
- May 21– 23; Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday, 6:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.
Students and adults 15 years and older are invited to register. Registration fees vary and are based on age and residency. The training class registration fee is waived for Rochester city students. An additional mask and book are required for some classes and are available for purchase as a package for $50.
