News Release – Mayor Evans Cuts Ribbon on New Basketball Court at Trenton & Pamela Jackson R-Center

(Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2023) – Mayor Malik D. Evans today joined Dr. Shirley Green, Commissioner of the City’s Department of Recreation and Human Services to celebrate the installation of new regulation outdoor basketball court at the Trenton and Pamela Jackson R-Center, 485 N. Clinton Ave.

“Our city’s youth and families deserve access to safe and modernized recreation and athletic facilities,” said Mayor Evans. “This new basketball court enhances the quality of life for our residents while adding to the vibrancy and vitality of the Upper Falls Neighborhood.”

The regulation dimension court will allow the R-Center to host leagues, tournaments, and free play on standard size courts and allow more players on the court at one time. Other upgrades include court lining, fencing, landscaping, basketball posts, and rims. Other amenities include the installation of new park benches and additional shade trees.
