2024 State Touring Routes Project

Project Description:

This is a State Touring Route funded project that includes two streets in the City of Rochester:

• W Main Street between W Broad Street and Churchlea Street
• S Plymouth Avenue between Ford Street and Genesee Street

The project will include, but is not limited to milling and resurfacing of the pavement, spot curb and sidewalk replacement, installation or upgrade of sidewalk curb ramps, replacement of traffic pavement markings, and adjustment and repair of manholes, catch basins, and water valve castings. The project also includes recommendations for lane reductions and parking regulation changes on West Main Street, bicycle accommodations, curb bump-outs at select locations, and other safety improvements throughout the project corridors.

Public Involvement:

• A public meeting was held on July 26, 2023 at the Arnett Library from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm and on zoom. This meeting reviewed the preliminary design. Documents from the meeting can be downloaded from the links below:
