News Release – June 14 ROC the Block Community Employment Fair Cancelled Due to Forecasted Rain

(Tuesday, June 13, 2023) – Due to forecasted rain, the outdoor ROC the Block employment fair planned for Wednesday, June 14 at the International Plaza is now cancelled. The employment fair series will continue 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Wednesday, July 12 at Willie Walker Lightfoot R-Center, 271 Flint St.

Employment fairs are also planned for 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 9 at Edgerton R-Center, 41 Backus St. and Wednesday, Sept. 27 at Parcel 5, 285 E. Main St.

ROC the Block is a community-based hiring initiative that brings businesses and recruiters to the city’s four quadrants throughout the summer and early fall. Residents can meet to discuss employment opportunities at fun, local, block-party styled events.

Employers or organizations interested in participating in ROC the Block employment fairs should email RocTheBlock@CityofRochester.Gov.
