“Bands on the Bricks” Concert Series Returns to the City of Rochester Public Market on Friday, July 14

(Wednesday, July 12, 2023) – The community favorite, free-admission “Bands on the Bricks” summer concert series, presented by the IDE Family of Dealerships, returns 6–10 p.m., Friday, July 14 at the City of Rochester Public Market, 280 N. Union St. This hugely popular series features local and national bands with a wide selection of local food and beverages, and general merchandise vendors at each concert. July 14 will feature headliner Mambo Kings with opener Orguesta Antonetti during Latino Night, Organized by Rochester’s Puerto Rican festival.

This event series features the first annual “Bands on the Bricks Art, Craft and Music Festival,” starting on Aug. 4 with over 100 artisan vendors, plus a VIP section sponsored by Advantage Federal Credit Union. Attendees are encouraged to bring folding chairs since seating is limited at the Public Market. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. VIP tickets are $17. July 14 – Latino Night, organized by Rochester’s Puerto Rican Festival

  • Headliner: Mambo Kings (Afro-Cuban fusion and contemporary jazz, Rochester, NY)
  • Opener: Orquesta Antonetti (Salsa; Rochester, NY)

July 21

  • Headliner: Magic Beans (Funk, R&B, rock, soul; Denver, CO)
  • Opener: Litz (Funk, electronica; Frederick, MD)

July 28

  • Headliner: 22K Magic (Taylor Swift and Bruno Mars tribute band) 
  • Opener: Uptown Groove (Jazz, Motown, top 40; Rochester, NY)

Aug. 4 – First Annual Bands on the Bricks Art, Craft, and Music Fest

  • Headliner: Into the Now (Grateful Dead tribute band; Rochester, NY) 
  • Opener: The Dawg’s (Rock, blues; Rochester, NY)

Aug. 11

  • Headliner: Donna the Buffalo
