The City of Rochester Public Market will kick off the fall season with a new, admission-free, debut event, Oktoberfest, on Friday, September 22 from 5-10 p.m., co-hosted by Rohrbach Brewing Company.
Celebrating community, local beer and food with a Rochester spin on the German heritage festival, Oktoberfest is a family-friendly event featuring activities and games for all ages, traditional German food, food trucks, live music and performances, and a wide array of German-inspired beer and wine.
Gates open at 5 p.m., live music and entertainment from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Attendees are welcome to savor the season by sampling a wide array of German beers by Rohrbach Brewing Company including this season’s Oktoberfest, German Helles Lager, Rohrbach Dunkel and Spanten German lagers, plus a variety of wines including German Rieslings.
The Krazy Firemen, an 8-piece, “big band” will play traditional authentic German music; the German Federation will provide performances for all ages, and attendees are welcome to sign up for a national stein holding competition. For more information, visit Rohrbachbrewing.com.
