News Release - Maplewood Rose Weekend Seeks Vendors

(March 17, 2009) - The Maplewood Neighborhood Association (MNA) is seeking vendors of arts, crafts and horticultural related items to participate in the 18th annual Rose Festival weekend, scheduled to be held June 20 and 21 at the historic Maplewood Rose Garden. The annual event draws thousands to revel in the beauty of over 5,000 roses of 300-plus varieties, partake in a historic home tour and experience the beauty and history of the Lower Gorge of the Genesee.

The Rose Festival Weekend kicks off with a community celebration on the Driving Park Bridge Friday evening and continues with a wine tasting at the Rose Garden on Saturday afternoon. There is also a Father’s Day concert and picnic, horticultural workshops, children’s activities and strolling entertainment.

The fee for booth space for the weekend is $50. Vending hours are 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. The MNA reserves the right to limit vendors to articles deemed appropriate. To reserve vendor space, call 585-232-8420.
