(Friday, Jan. 27, 2012) - The Edgerton Model Railroad Room is open to the public this Saturday, Jan. 28 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Displays within this historic model train room depict Rochester in all seasons and include many of its natural and built landmarks. The Recreation Center and Railroad Room are located at 41 Backus St.
Volunteers at the Edgerton Model Railroad Club are credited with preserving this community treasure, launched in 1950 at the tail end of Rochester and America’s bustling train travel era. This “Model Railroad Heaven” is a must-see for people of all ages.
