News Release - City and RTS Announce Bus Service Plans for Concerts by the Shore Series

City of Rochester

News Release

(Monday, June 2, 2014) – The City of Rochester and Regional Transit Service announced a plan today for increased bus service to and from the popular “Concert by the Shore” series running Wednesday nights June 4 through Aug. 28 at Ontario Beach Park.

For $1 each way, bus passengers can relax and enjoy the ride to the concert in air-conditioned, Americans with Disabilities Act certified RTS buses while also helping to ease the traffic congestion in the Port area of Rochester during the marina construction project.

Free parking for bus customers will be provided by Kodak in Lot 46 of Eastman Business Park on Keehl Street between Lake Avenue and Maplewood Drive, easily accessible from the Maplewood Drive exit on Route 104. There are over 1200 available spaces and security staff will be present to monitor and assist. Concert goers parking here will receive a $1-off produce coupon redeemable at any Wegmans location.

Available from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. on concert nights, the buses will drop off and pick up passengers at the corner of Keehl Street and Lake Avenue and next to the Robach Community Center, 180 Beach Ave., in Ontario Beach Park. Please note that only RTS passes or the exact cash fare are accepted.

The “Concert by the Shore” series, in its 25th year, is presented by the Ontario Beach Park Program Committee and Wegmans with support from the City and Monroe County.
