News Release

(Thursday, May 30, 2019) – The 30th annual Flower City Days at the Market series continues on Sunday, June 2 at the City of Rochester Public Market, 280 N. Union St. These horticultural sales feature dozens of vendors specializing in bedding plants, shrubs, vegetable plants, perennials and annuals, gardening accessories and much more. All Flower City Days run from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Cafes and coffee shops on the Market grounds and in the Market District will be open as well on Flower City Days Sundays.

Master Gardeners from Cornell Cooperative Extension of Monroe County will be on hand on several of the Sundays to provide expert gardening advice.

The City also offers a “give and take” plant container recycling program outside the Market Office. Gardeners can deposit garden pots, flats and containers at the office, and in turn, take any they may need.

After this Sunday, only one more Flower City Days at the Market event remains for the season and will take place on Sunday, June 9.
