Ride The Downtown/East End Garage Market Shuttle to Food Truck Rodeos

For Wednesday night Food Truck Rodeos in April, May, July, August, and September (not for the June Rodeo, because of the busy, busy downtown Rochester International Jazz Festival), the Market will be running a quick, easy, comfortable, convenient and FREE Shuttle from the East End Parking Garage at the corner of East Main and Scio Streets. Avoid congestion and parking challenges around the Market by taking the Shuttle!  Standard evening parking rates apply in the East End Garage.

The Shuttle travels in roughly 20-30 minute loops between the stop on East Main Street, near the corner of Main and Scio (right in front of the East End Garage), and the Market stop just across from the Union Street gateway to the Market.  Look for the MarketMobile Shuttle Stop signs! The first Shuttle leaves the East End Garage at 5:00 p.m.; the last one leaves the Market at 9:15 p.m.

Partnership with Open Door Mission

Again in 2019, the Market and Open Door Mission will partner at the Food Truck Rodeos to extend these celebrations of food and eating to our neighbors in need.  At each Rodeo, Open Door Mission representatives will be on hand to collect donations--they will then use those donations to purchase fresh, healthy food from Market vendors to prepare in the Mission kitchen and serve in the Mission dining room.  This is a true multi-win! Look for Open Door Mission at the Rodeos at the curve of the main outdoor, covered Shed "A".

Rules, Regulations, Tips

No shirt, no shoes, no entry.
All bags are subject to search.
No smoking in or under sheds.
No pets except for service animals (and note that dogs in bags or in your arms are still dogs).
No bicycles in event area (although we encourage you to ride to the event, we have lots of bike parking).
No skateboards or in-line skates.
No drones.
One sealed water bottle per person can be brought in; no other food or beverages.

We highly recommend bringing some lawn chairs and even a fold-out table. We guarantee there won't be enough of our picnic tables to accommodate the hordes of Food Truck Rodeo enthusiasts.  And we highly recommend carpooling, transit, biking, or parking at the East End Garage and taking our free shuttle!  We enjoy huge crowds at these events and they are more fun for everyone when access in and out is easy.

Have a Food Truck?

If you have a food truck and want to vend at Food Truck Rodeos, download the application and submit it to the Public Market Office, 280 N. Union Street, Tuesday-Friday mornings.  Call 585-428-6907 Tuesday-Friday mornings with questions.

And see the City of Rochester's regulations governing food trucks, carts, and trailers at
