Police and Citizens Together Against Crime Program (PAC-TAC)

About the Program

Rochester's Police Officers are on the front lines every day doing their best to combat crime and law-abiding citizens want to do their part and help. The Rochester Police Department (RPD) and community partners are working together to keep Rochester safe. Police and Citizens-Together Against Crime (PAC-TAC) needs your help in order to make a difference in our community.

Increasing neighborhood safety is not only the role of law enforcement but also involves concerned citizens working with the police in crime prevention initiatives.

How You Can Help

PAC-TAC volunteers work with on-duty patrol and Crime Prevention Officers (CPOs) and walk in your respective neighborhood, interacting with other citizens and local merchants along the way in an effort to prevent crime. This is your chance to make a real difference in your neighborhood!

All volunteers receive extensive training and are issued distinctive clothing and a portable police radio with frequency channels of Rochester's Patrol Officers. If you notice any criminal activity or are in need of assistance while on patrol, you can immediately call upon an officer using the police portable radio.
