South Ave and Elmwood Ave

About the Project   

The South Avenue and Elmwood Avenue Improvement Project is a City of Rochester and County of Monroe 131K project which consists of reconstructing two City of Rochester Streets.  The project will also include a connection along Elmwood Ave between the Highland Trial and the Elmwood Cycle Track.South and Elmwood Project Map

Project Scope

The projects consists of full depth pavement reconstruction.  Additional improvements will also include new sidewalk, curb, curb ramps, driveway aprons, drainage basins, water main, water services, hydrants, lighting, signals, signing, pavement markings, tree plantings, pedestrian crossing improvements, and bicycle accommodations.

Additional private utility adjustments were made in advance of the construction phase of the project.

Public Participation

The City hosted a public meeting on July 15, 2021

 

 

The City of Rochester presented design options at the NBN6 monthly meeting on February 8, 2021.

The first public informational meeting was held on October 20, 2020.
