This work is part of the City's Asphalt Milling & Resurfacing, 2019 Preventive Maintenance - Northwest Group 5 (Beach / Dewey / Lake) project. Work involves: milling and resurfacing of existing pavement; spot replacement of curb and sidewalk; adjustment of manholes and catch basins; and pavement markings. Carter St. (Portland to Norton) This work is part of the City's Asphalt Milling & Resurfacing program. Work involves: milling and resurfacing of existing pavement; spot replacement of curb and sidewalk; adjustment of manholes and catch basins; and pavement markings. Charles Carroll Plaza/Sister Cities Bridge This project consists of the construction of a new pedestrian access connection from the upper level of the Charles Carroll Park Plaza to the existing Sister Cities Brige and improvements to the lower walkway along the Genesee River.
Updated 9/25/20:  Contractor has begun work on the plaza and sister cities bridge.  Contractor work zone includes the walkway along the Genesee River from Main St to Andrews St.  Access to this area will be restricted until at least fall 2021.  Sidewalk on the south side of Andrews St is closed from State St to St Paul Blvd due to this project and the adjacent court house renovations.

Updated 9/21/2020: Sidewalk  and curb work will be wrapping up this week between Clifford  Ave and  Dunn St..  Sidewalk will be remain open on at least one side of the street through the project corridor at all times.  Occasional single lane closures to facilitate work.  Adjustment of Manholes and Valves will be ongoing. Linden St. (South Ave to Mt. Vernon Ave.)  Improvements

This project consists of replacement of some watermains and water services, drainage structures, sidewalks, curbs and driveway aprons. The roadway will be milled and resurfaced.

Updated 9/21/2020:  Milling and paving and drainage adjustments are complete. Hydroseeding was completed five weeks ago, please water and mow the new grass to help it grow.

Lyell Ave (Mt Read Blvd to Lake Ave) This project consists of milling and resurfacing of existing pavement, sidewalk ramp upgrades, catch basin upgrades, manhole repairs, bicycle lane installation, and upgraded pavement striping and signage.
Updated 9/25/2020: Curb and sidewalk work occurring on both sides of the street.  Sidewalk closures in work areas, but at least one side of the street remains open at all times. Occasional single lane closures to facilitate sidewalk and curb work.  Expect occasional lane closures as contractor and utilities adjust manhole and catch basin covers to grade in newly paved areas.

Magee Ave Improvements

Mount Read Blvd (Buffalo Rd. to Lyell Ave.) This is a NYSDOT - Region 4 project that will resurface  Mount Read Boulevard from Rt 33 (Buffalo Rd) to the CSX Bridge north of Rt 31 (Lyell Ave) and upgrading to a roundabout at the southern limit in the City of Rochester, Monroe County.

Rochester Riverway Trail  (Downtown)    Trail closures associated with downtown ROC The Riverway Projects Updated 9/25/20: Trail is closed between Ford St and Court St on both sides of the river due to ROC City Skate Park (East Side) and West River Wall (West Side).  Trail detour routes pedestrians along the west side of Exchange Blvd from Ford St to Court St in both the northbound and southbound directions.
