Alexander St (Mt. Hope to Main)  

This work is part of the City's Asphalt Milling & Resurfacing, 2018 Preventative Maintenance Group #2. Work involves: milling and resurfacing of existing pavement; spot replacement of curb and sidewalk; adjustment of manholes and catch basins; and pavement markings.

Updated 11/8/19: Work is substantially complete for the season. Work is expected to resume in Spring of 2020.

Carter St (Portland to Norton) This work is part of the City's Asphalt Milling & Resurfacing program. Work involves: milling and resurfacing of existing pavement; spot replacement of curb and sidewalk; adjustment of manholes and catch basins; and pavement markings. Updated 11/22/19:  Paving on Carter Street is complete, permanent adjustments to drainage structures and valves  as well as sidewalk work will be completed in the spring.  Carter Street work is now shut down for the winter.  Work will resume in Spring of 2020. East Henrietta Rd (S. Elmwood Ave (Wilson Blvd to Mt. Hope Ave)

College Town Cycle Track

 

This project provides for the creation of a 0.75 mile physically separated two-way cycle track along the Elmwood Ave corridor.  This work includes the installation of new concrete sidewalks, asphalt cycle lanes, pavement markings, cross walks, crossing signals, sidewalk ramps, signs, lighting improvements, and retaining walls.

Updated 10/17/19: Cycle track construction & landscaping continues. Night paving work has been completed.

 

Updated 10/17/19: Occasional Single lane closures to facilitate sidewalk work (Wilson Blvd / U of R Main Entrance to East Drive / Strong Memorial Hospital) is scheduled the week of October 14, 2019 

Daytime work on sidewalks & utilities will also continue along the project corridor.

Lake Avenue (Lyell Ave to Route 104) Improvements

This is a NYSDOT - Region 4 project that will mill and resurface on Rte 940M (Lake Ave) from Lyell Ave to Ridgeway Ave in the City of Rochester.

This project consists of replacement of some watermains and water services, drainage structures, sidewalks, curbs and driveway aprons. The roadway will be milled and resurfaced.

Updated 11/22/19: Water service work is complete.  the contractor has shut down the project for the winter, and will start up again in the spring.  we anticipate construction start up in late March or early April.

Mount Read Blvd (Buffalo Rd. to Lyell Ave.) This is a NYSDOT - Region 4 project that will resurface  Mount Read Boulevard from Rt 33 (Buffalo Rd) to the CSX Bridge north of Rt 31 (Lyell Ave) and upgrading to a roundabout at the southern limit in the City of Rochester, Monroe County.
