Broad St. (Broad St Bridge to South Ave) This work is part of the Rundel Library Structural Improvements Phase IV Project. Charles Carroll Plaza/Sister Cities Bridge This project consists of the construction of a new pedestrian access connection from the upper level of the Charles Carroll Park Plaza to the existing Sister Cities Brige and improvements to the lower walkway along the Genesee River.
Updated 7/22/21:  Contractor has begun work on the plaza and sister cities bridge.  Contractor work zone includes the walkway along the Genesee River from Main St to Andrews St.  Access to this area will be restricted until at least fall 2021.  Sidewalk on the south side of Andrews St is closed from State St to St Paul Blvd due to this project and the adjacent court house renovations.

Child Street: (I- 490to Lyell) this work is part of the Child, Dewey, Glide Milling and Resurfacing Project. The scope of the work consists of the milling of the existing pavement and placement of a new pavement top course for the entire project corridor. The project also includes miscellaneous full depth pavement repairs, replacement of broken or missing curb, hazardous sidewalk section replacement, upgrading sidewalk curb ramps to ADA standards and placement of new pavement markings.  Updated 7/19/21: Contractor has completed replacement  of defective curb and sidewalk on the street. Cottage Street (Plymouth to Magnolia) Street Rehabilitation project including water service replacement, replacement of drainage structures, new curbs, driveway aprons, spot sidewalk replacement and milling and resurfacing of the pavement. Dewey Avenue (Emerson St. to Driving Park Ave.) This work is part of the Child, Dewey, Glide Milling and Resurfacing Project. The scope of the work consists of the milling of the existing pavement and placement of a new pavement top course for the entire project corridor. The project also includes miscellaneous full depth pavement repairs, replacement of broken or missing curb, hazardous sidewalk section replacement, upgrading sidewalk curb ramps to ADA standards and placement of new pavement markings. Driving Park Avenue: (Ramona St to Dewey Ave) This work is part of the Preventive Maintenance Northwest Group 12 Project. The scope of the work consists of the milling of the existing pavement and placement of a new pavement top course for the entire project corridor. The project also includes miscellaneous full depth pavement repairs, replacement of broken or missing curb, hazardous sidewalk section replacement, upgrading sidewalk curb ramps to ADA standards and placement of new pavement markings.

East Main St (Circle St to Railroad St) Work involves: milling and resurfacing the bridge deck/roadway, removal and replacement of the granite curb along with necessary sidewalk repairs and replacement of the existing parapet walls and safety fencing system. Update 7/22/21: Milling deck and approach on north side of bridge expected to continue the week of July 26, 2021.

East Main St (North Goodman St to Culver Rd) Work involves: full depth reconstruction of the existing roadway; water main; storm sewers; curb, pavement; sidewalk; signals; lighting; signing; marking; landscaping; and other streetscape enhancements. Updated 7/22/21: Box-out for new road expected to continue along south side of East Main Street. Utility contractor to continue work on Monday, July 26, 2021.

Exchange St.(Ford St to S. Plymouth Ave)
This work is part of the West River Wall Improvements Phase I
Updated 7/19/21: River trail closed from Violetta St to S. Plymouth Ave, detour in place.  Material hauling to and from the site occurring daily.  Work has started at the intersection of Exchange and Fitzhugh Place. Be alert for flaggers.

Bicycle lane and shoulder closed on Exchange St. Northbound from Ford St to S. Plymouth Ave.  Be alert for bicycles in the roadway.

Frederick Street (Helena St to Cleveland St)      This work is part of the Helena Group Street Rehabilitation Project. The scope of the work consists of the pavement milling and resurfacing, new stone curbs, curb ramps, hazardous sidewalk replacements, driveway aprons, catch basin and manhole adjustments, fiber telecommunication conduit, signage and tree plantings. Pierpont Street (Driving Park Ave to Lexington Ave) This work is part of the Priority Bike Boulevards Implementation Project. The scope of the work consists of installation of Bicycle Boulevard facilities on approximately 20 centerline miles to upgrade local residential streets, to optimize them for bicycling. This project will help bridge the gaps between existing and planned bicycle lanes, cycle tracks and trails. Various Locations  This work is part of the Local Pedestrian Safety Action Plan project. This project consists of improvements to pedestrian facilities at up over 200 locations throughout the City of Rochester.
